Robert is incredible ….. Top tier in my book. The firm he is under I cannot say the same for. They will reel you in with promises of payment plans then push you against the wall with an ultimatum attached to a lump sum that would affect anyone’s financials.

My opinion of Sterling law is not receptive to Robert. I think he’s one of the best & will go above the call of duty to represent his clients.

I had an overall good experience with Sterling. One negative part was that child support was supposed to be effective on a Monday as discussed with the lawyer, but the court suggested the day of the hearing. I am unfamiliar with this process and did not know it went by Fridays so it cost me another $583 that could have been avoided.

To rate her I really cant never used her I understand she has a good rating but. I really didnt like to here that I have to give more than 50% because a a divorce is 50 ,50 that isnt fare , and the judge makes the final decision so it could be worse and its a unknown factor, I told her I was not ready yet I wanted to know my options, not many , and I had other things to do first. I guess I wanted to here something better, if I had to rate her I would not go over 6. I know youre there if I need you! Im still not ready!!

Holly was great! When I worked with her, I really felt like she was focused on my case and gave great advice. Unfortunately, when I was assigned to Austin, I did not feel the same level of engagement. Right from the beginning, the initial filing was (I felt) late; we were looking to move fast and get the 4 month waiting period over, but it still took over a month to get that filed. Initially, he was very responsive, and I thought we were going to be all right; but our situation changed from "separation" to "divorce" around the beginning of April, and when we made our initial (scheduling) appearance in May, the paperwork was a mix of some documents that indicated divorce, while others separation. Then he was unavailable for a couple weeks around the beginning/middle of June, and neither Austin nor Missy was responding to my inquiries about our final hearing on June 28th. I finally called Ellen Rhodeman on June 13 in an attempt to contact Austin, and we finally spoke; this was one day before the due date to have all of our final documents filed with the court. But one of our documents was trapped in Austins Spam folder, and our documents werent filed until the week of our hearing. This was followed by more chaos, and made for a very stressful week, even though it resulted in our divorce being finalized. As a final note, he didnt tell us about the process for getting the QDRO created and approved, which was a surprise.
So, when you ask if I would recommend others to your firm, I would say "Yes, if you get Holly; but No if you get Austin."
Consider this: we are working to file our QDRO pro se because we dont want to hand it over to Austin to do it for us. Thats how dissatisfied Teri (my ex-wife) and I are.

It’s not likely that I would have to refer anyone because I don’t know any married couples in Wisconsin that would come to me to seek a reference for a divorce attorney.

Excellent counsel and superb service.

Some email responses were unclear/slow but overall, Ellen did a really nice job with the prenup and offered suggestions to best advocate for me.

She was helpful and did an excellent job. The score wasn’t higher because it was very difficult to communicate and get scheduled. This was after we had already paid our fee in full. That was frustrating and made a difficult time even more stressful.

I beleive all details of my case where taken care of and any questions I had where answered in a timley professional manner.

The outcome was better than expected. Helpful. Friendly.

I felt incredibly seen & heard by Ellen. The previous lawyer I spoke with did not make me feel comfortable or motivated to pursue what I needed to and Ellen gave me that motivation back.

I would give Austin a 20 if I could. Austin stuck with me from the very beginning, even when I was still undecided on an attorney. He constantly checked in on me, he was very knowledgable and helpful through out the entire process and I felt very secure having him as my representation. I felt like a human being and not a case. He was passionate about helping me get what I wanted out of it and kept my daughter in mind the entire time as well.
I would ABSOLUTELY recommend attorney Austin and the company Sterling to anybody. Bevia and Missy on his team were also terrific, super friendly, fast-acting, understanding, and kept in consistent contact as well!
