Attorney Jennifer Kornreich

Attorney Jennifer Kornreich helps families move through some of the most difficult chapters of their lives and come out the other side with a clear path forward. She believes every client deserves a smooth transition to their new normal, whatever that looks like for them, and she works to make sure the people she represents feel knowledgeable, supported, and understood at every stage of their case. For Jennifer, it is an honor to use her training and skills to give clients confidence in their family law matters, guiding them through the process one clear step at a time.

Jennifer earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School, graduating in May of 2026. Her commitment to family law took shape in the school's Family Court Clinic, where she worked with pro se litigants during her second and third years, helping them navigate divorce, paternity, and post-judgment matters, and where she continued serving clients pro bono until graduation. She was on the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender, and Society as its Senior Symposium Editor and led UW Law's chapter of the Animal Legal Defense Fund as president. During both summers of law school, she sharpened her practical skills as a law clerk with Hurst, Robin, Kay and Allen, LLC in Chicago.

Before the law, there was journalism. Jennifer graduated from Boston University with a degree in Journalism, earning Dean's List honors in six of her eight semesters and running the university's student radio news department for most of her time in college, where she oversaw roughly 50 reporters and editors producing twice-weekly, two-hour news shows and special election coverage. She chose journalism because she loved to write and loved talking to people, and it was a constitutional law class in college that convinced her to become a lawyer. Family law let her keep the part of journalism she valued most, sitting down with people, hearing their problems, and now having the skills and resources to actually help solve them. That background shows up in how she practices: she listens first, communicates clearly, and makes sure clients never feel left in the dark.

Jennifer grew up in Southeastern Wisconsin, went out to the East Coast for college, and came straight back to the Midwest for law school. She credits her mother and grandmother, both former teachers, with instilling the value of education and staying curious, lessons she carries into every client conversation. One of four kids, with a younger sister, an older sister, and a twin brother, she understands firsthand how much family matters. What she loves most about Wisconsin is its people, especially the blunt “Midwest Niceness” the state is known for, a straightforwardness paired with warmth that fits naturally with how she practices law.

Outside the office, Jennifer stays busy running, hiking, cooking, and skiing, and she never misses Saturday Night Live on the weekend. Her favorite Wisconsin getaway is Washington Island, her favorite thing to do in the main metro area is the Dane County Farmers' Market, and the coolest place she has ever traveled is Oslo, Norway. As part of the Sterling team, Jennifer is proud to serve families in Fond du Lac and across Wisconsin with clarity, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping clients move forward.
