Was sorely lacking in communication.

“Consult” was a complete waste of $150. I'm an idiot for paying it in the first place. Attorney was late calling, didn't seem to have an organized direction for the call and provided zero information about divorce that any layman wouldn't already know. This was nothing more an aggressive sales call for the $13,000 representation fee. I'm neither rich nor stupid so thanks for nothing.

Your firm presented itself as a firm who does not take advantage of a client by billing them hourly but instead does it by setting engagements and expectations. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Not only was that not the case, in addition if i did not call on your firm for follow up there was no communication on your end. But when it came to trying to get me to agree to pay a larger fee for the work that had already been agreed upon your firm was calling me up to 3 times a day. Bad service will not recommend and will contacting the ARDC about your practices

Poor ability to empathize with the agony of divorce.

Joanna helped me with a really tough case that went on for a lot longer than it needed to. However, through out the entire process she was honest, even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. She was able to help me negotiate what was best for my child and although it wasn't exactly what I wanted it ended up being a compromise where I ended up coming out ahead with more time with my daughter.
I also really love the new billing system they implemented. I was not scared to call or email in fear I would get bills every month that I would have to work into my budget. I highly recommend Sterling Law Offices and Joanna. I can finally move on and start enjoying my time again with my family.
