I will say that Robert was very professional and honest with me. I will say that he can improve on being better with communication. There were many times when I wasn’t clear what was going on because I wasn’t looped in on what was going on, correspondence received by him sent to me days later, and there was an expectation for me to understand a lot of legal lingo. Again, he was professional and everything got done, but with such an important matter, I think it’s important to send emails such as “at this time we are waiting on….” And so on.

Your associates were so kind when I first reached out. My 1 hour consultation was not great though. I understand being realistic and sharing the true and honest information about someone's circumstances and how a legal situation might end up. But to go from feeling supported and heard in my situation, to having a consultation where I felt like I was being told "Yeah, that sucks, but this is the reality of your situation"… Who would want to come back and work with that attorney? I felt judged for being in a difficult situation, and what room does an attorney have to judge their clients? Thank you to your kind associates who set up my appointment and consultation, their support gave me light in a dark moment. To your attorney I worked with though, who I don't want to name, please be more compassionate. I realize that their job is draining and that it's hard to give empathy and sympathy to each and every client. But I felt like hell by the time I had my 1 hour consultation and I did not feel like I had an ally, partner, or friend in my corner. I cannot, ever, in good conscience, ask someone to help me fight a battle with me when they have no care or sympathy for me. I will say thank you though – because my consultation lead me to try even harder to make peace with my partner, and I'm hopeful that I'm able to continue walking down that path.
