Jeff Morrell performed exceptionally when taking over my father’s case. My father previously had Hannah Smet whom left your firm after months of my father’s case being dragged out. She literally left a week before having the settlement meeting that we waited 6 months for. It was extremely frustrating. Jeff apologized and committed to doing his best to deliver the results my father was longing for. Jeff and I ( son of Jesus Martinez ) had a couple back and fourth’s that were directly instigated by the length of time in which my fathers divorce was in lull. The main goal was for my father to keep the home, and Jeff delivered. The day of court Jeff stood strong on what we were willing to compromise and where our line in the sand was.
My only reservation, which is solely the reason the score wasn’t a 10, is because although there is a judgement the case isn’t finished yet his case was closed. What happens now ? Who’s going to represent my father now as he needs motions to force judgement? His ex wife has stalled on completing the quit claim deed as well as the real estate transfer, which by court order was supposed to be completed by her by June 2nd.
Her refusal to satisfy judgement has prevented my father from obtaining a home equity loan and satisfying his obligation of transferring $38,000 equalization payment. How does he ask the court to make this right?
He was forced to take a one time withdrawal from his IRA, eliminating the $782 he was receiving monthly, to satisfy the court order. How is his new monthly income brought to the court to adjust the spousal support?
There are items that need attention, but his case was closed, preemptively in my opinion.

So for one thing if your a guy your just at the mercy of the judge for child support might as well bring lube and take it. If the judge doesn't give two shits like mine, ya lose. my lawyer couldn't get a word in. I paid 5k for knowledge but it's useless If the judge is an asshole. I literally had 3-4 phone calls with my lawyer probably a dozen emails with her helper then I get this great email after in my eyes losing the court battle. about how you've earned the whole 5.5k and that the last bill will be sent out I figured I had to pay anyway, could have just said that the last bill will be sent out.. not that you've earned it. when I got literally nothing for it.. couldn't even get the tax credit this year so I miss out on two of them wich would have helped. I got screwed I literally have him 50/50 but nooo cause I have a 4 on 4 off schedule a 8 day week bull crap it turns out 57/43 I don't see why if she can't afford him why don't I get him. the system is such crap. This experience was just trash I paid all that money for nothing. she just walks in without representation and got what she wanted. So if your a guy no you probably shouldn't even worry just bite the bullet if your female ya don't need representation either. yes I'm a little angry yes, I know you probably did stuff that I didn't see. But that's how I feel was just a terrible experience for me wish everyone well thanks for trying a guess.

Bailey was helpful, but there were times I could tell that my case was a learning experience for her. She worked for me, and I appreciated what she did.
I didn't love the financial settlement at the end of my divorce, I feel like I should have gotten more than I did. I think there were things Bailey should have known but maybe didn't realize (e.g. I paid for the whole down payment on our house pre-marriage and we should have started with that in our settlement). Compared to corporate law, family court felt a bit like the wild west.
Jeff Morrell and his team went above and beyond for me and my case. If it wasn’t for a few lapses in communication that led to the closing of my case a month later than expected, my review would be a 10

My attorney, Jeff Morell was experienced and informed. The only drawback is there does not seem to be a way to work around their payment structure. This makes a difficult life decision a little stressful.

I would like to share that it was really good working with Attorney Miller. He made it a lot easier to understand what were the realistic possible outcomes in the case rather than coming down on my thoughts/ideas. There were never negative tones in phone calls or moments that came from our conversations, between both of us. Also he always had my back and did not allow any proceedings to happen without me being satisfied with the results. Overall 10/10 excellent Attorney, excellent personality, and excellent execution in a short amount of time. I will recommend Sterling Law offices and Attorney Miller if I ever have the opportunity, and that is why I had come back for service on the same case from 3 years prior.

Do I feel your services were worth $8,000? Absolutely not. I do not feel that the amount of work actually done on my behalf was well below that dollar mark.
