I selected Sterling based on the organization’s track record, attorneys’ bios, and educational background. Unfortunately, Ryan’s services did not meet my needs nor did they match her evaluation/bio. When submitting my financial affidavit on time, I assumed the opposing side would do the same at the requested time. I also assumed these documents would be evaluated to determine missing items. I received the counterparty’s document a week after the deadline and I discovered that he listed Bank of America as his bank; however, Credit Union One was listed on his paystub as the source of his direct deposit. I followed up with Ryan requesting these documents. By this time, the opposing side had the advantage of reviewing my financials. When asked for options, I was told litigation would require us both to submit seven years of financials.
Without Ryan’s direction/suggestion, I reached out to a private investigator where it was revealed the counterparty was cohabiting with his partner. Thanks to my reach, maintenance is no longer a financial obligation for me. When I asked if this is something Sterling conducted, I was told: “Many conduct this on their own”. It would be helpful for Sterling to recommend this; it cost me $100 to save years of a potential financial obligation.
Lastly, when I provided an amount for a second offer, I was told it would take a week for Ryan to update the first offer and return it to me for review. I asked “Ryan, are you saying it will take a week to update one number”, she replied, “I will return the final document to you in a few days”.
Honestly, when I first signed up for all of this it all seemed like a fairly quick process. They pretty much guaranteed my mother and me that due to the circumstances that were in place at the time, this divorce was going to be over within a few months, and given all of the articulable facts, in this case, it should have been a “Slam Dunk”. But it was not, and I feel like somewhere along the line the ball was dropped and this should not have taken this long considering the $$ that was spent. So honestly I would give it a 5 or 6/10. Jacqueline was helpful but I don’t think my case was executed with a sense of urgency and then when Phase 1 ended, they had the nerve to try to charge me an extra $10k… For what? No thank you

My priority was QUICK. She was able to accomplish that for me. Divorced in less than 4 weeks!
I would recommend Katie 10/10 times. I feel that she had an excellent grasp of the relevant law, a sensible approach to conflicted matters, and plenty of experience to support her positions.
I felt my question was a basic, procedural question, that shouldn’t have required more than a base understanding of statute yet it cost 100s of dollars and much time to answer. This is a BIG problem in America. Simple question (what is the default placement for kids if my becomes medically incapacitated?). My original lawyer didn’t answer… you accepted payment to answer and even then didn’t have an answer readily available. This despite my asking the same question in the initial intake. It’s a racket.
I rate Ryan Shope's work a 10. She is very professional and has very good communication skills which is what I was looking for In a lawyer. Even though my case was a mutual agreement she processed all the paperwork in a timely matter which my case went through fast. Best of all took my concerns in matter to my case.

I’ve had nothing but a positive experience from start to finish. I feel like I had plenty of time to explain my situation fully during the consult, whereas other firms I’ve called wanted to get to the cost before I had any questions answered, this was a completely different experience. We had a great and informative conversation and the cost was discussed when I felt ready for it. Then my lawyer Ali Isroff and her paralegal Danielle were great! Communication and getting everything filed was super easy. I put off my divorce for a while and with how easy everything was, I wish I would have done it a long time ago. Yeah a lawyer is going to be expensive, but I tried doing it myself and things got way too complicated and I was terrified that I would mess it up. I also really appreciated the fixed rate because I wasn’t constantly worrying or wondering how much every detail and interaction would cost me. Appreciate you guys!

I saved for a very long time for that money. The lawyer was nice but half the time I didn’t even know what was going on.
I always had to reach out and ask. And at the start, I was told I had to go to the second stage it would have been 8
Thousand and I told them upfront I couldn’t afford that. And also, when I spoke to Jacqueline she 99% of the time she could have made this divorce happen. It didn’t happen. Then I was would 15k more. That’s insane sorry to say.
That’s why I’m asking for an itemized statement and I’m still waiting for that. Would I tell friends about this yes, I would, and all the people I have told say I got ripped off and think I need some of my money back. They also told me I should contact the Better Business Bureau.

Communication is key in any case. The communication between the law firm including Ryan who took care of my case was right on. I really appreciate everyone who was assisting in this case was really nice and took the time to reply and answer all my questions. It really took some stress off me.

I had the dissolution of my marriage handled by Sterling Lawyers (Ali Isroff, specifically), and I can say that she and her team had my back at all times. Anytime I had a question or a concern, Ali were always able to quickly clarify my questions and handle all the steps of the process in a very professional way and at the same time she always made me feel like I’d have my rights protected, which was very comforting during this period of stress. Her team were great with communication , most of my emails were always answered in a matter of minutes. Anytime I had an issue and I needed orientation on how to proceed, they were there, and that eliminated a lot of the pressure of going through a divorce.
The office in general, since the first contact, they made sure to cover all my questions, quickly and effectively, also, the way they explained the whole process prior to any commitment was very clear and straightforward, which was the reason I decided to work with them.

After searching for several options for divorce lawyers I came across with Sterling Lawyers, they were the only ones that could gave me a total amount for their services, something that was a relief since other lawyers charged hourly, and you never know how much you will pay. It was affordable. Layer Ali Isroff took my case and she was amazing not only my case resolved quickly, she was respectful with both parties, she took the time to explain everything to me, and make me feel safe, she was available to answer any questions I had. Definitely, one of the best decisions I have taken in something that was so important. Even on the court day she was the only layer who sent all documents in order, no issues arise and we were able to resolved promptly. I'll recommend 100%.
