I believe that Sterling Law Offices is a competent law firm with highly educated individuals. They have the right answers to your questions in the matter of law. But thats not all I was looking for when I sought an attorney. I wanted to hire peace of mind, the knowledge that someone is fighting for me. Thats not what I received. Instead I felt like I was arguing against the attorney I worked with at Sterling (whom I will choose not to name in this review); at this point, I was still ready to leave them a 5-star review if things were rectified. But when I made my opinion known to the owners of the firm, I was swiftly met with opposition via email. Never a phone call or further questions about my interpretation of what happened. This review wouldnt be here if it did; in fact, the 1-star rating is strictly representative of the response I received from ownership. I expected, especially from a law firm, to be heard out, to be allowed the chance to find a reasonable solution to my circumstances, and to be able to move forward with dignity and grace. Instead I was offered 10% of my retainer (over $5,000) for a case that is, at best, 60% complete (thats my personal opinion) and a stipulation to withdraw from the engagement. Those are the facts, Ill let you draw the conclusion about whether to hire them.

She helped me get custody of my son and be able to move out of state with him. From beginning to end she was on top of my phone calls and emails. Always kept me up to date on all court requests and paperwork. I couldnt thank her enough for what she did.

A competent, thorough, responsive law office. Katie V. helped coach me through a very long divorce, and she saw things which previous 2 lawyers had missed. My divorce case was complicated, and she could clearly see the kind of person I was dealing with. She settled my fears and prepared me for what may lay ahead for me and my son for the future. I wish I had started with Katie V. to begin with. Sterling Law Offices would have saved me $20,000 in lawyers fees and a lot of headaches and heartaches. I am so grateful I had the gumption to leave a narcissist when I did, and even more grateful that Katie V. convinced me to keep forging ahead. She is an amazing lawyer, and coachlike a life coachand if I ever need anything again, I will always call her.

In a time when things were pretty difficult, Nikole was the best attorney I could have asked for. She listened, she understood, but what mattered mostly for me was the fact that she cared. She made my concerns her own, and had the knowledge, expertise, and experience to take so much of the weight I had off my shoulders and handle things for me incredibly professionally. She actually went above and beyond to be helpful which also made a huge difference ..not just for me but for my case. It sounds canned to hear myself say it, but I would strongly recommend her to anyone I know, and wouldn’t even consider working with anyone else should I need an attorney again. I understand that choosing an attorney is hard, as I went through the same process of selection as anyone likely reading this review is doing. All I can say is that I feel really lucky to have made a great right choice with Nikole, and it went great ..enough for me to sit and write an online review, which isn’t exactly my thing ..at all. Jeff let me down in every way, he was impatient and disrespectful if I asked too many questions, he did not return my calls or texts, he did not keep me safe, failing to file a motion which later caused me to lose my maintenance and now I have nothing. He got a poor deal for my MSA for me leaving me without support in my time of transition. I trusted him and he failed me. He charged way too much money to divorce me, $15K. He was often impatient with me. Even rude. I would never recommend this law firm to anyone.

I dont feel my attorney went into the case fully informed and ready to win. It seemed my case was more of an inconvenince to him than anything. He also closed my file immediately after the case, even though part of the decision on my case was still up in the air based on a settlement case still pending against my ex.

I hired one Attorney and got sourced out to another one. I have raised concerns with her, I have yet to go over finances with her, even though she has told my husbands attorney that we have. I have been told by her that the house is heavily financed numberous times and I finally said to her why she thought that, because the bank said it?s not. Her response was I must?ve mixed your case up with someone else. I bluntly asked her if she can be an advocate for me, because I don?t feel supported and have concerns regarding this case. I feel like my case is an inconvenience to her and she doesn?t want to put the work into it. Just some comments made has made me feel like she may not be a good representative for me

Consult was a complete waste of $150. Im an idiot for paying it in the first place. Attorney was late calling, didnt seem to have an organized direction for the call and provided zero information about divorce that any layman wouldnt already know. This was nothing more an aggressive sales call for the $13,000 representation fee. Im neither rich nor stupid so thanks for nothing.
