I did not understand that I had a 6 month time limit. The lawyer that represented me didn’t do anything the first 3 months! Then he informed me that his time was almost up. For the $7500 I paid was not worth it.

Uncertain communication about the process and coordination with the court

It is due to the status of the case. I believe my lawyer is doing what she can for me but we are restricted via orders of protection. Which leads to some issues with communication issues on the status and what steps we can take.

I was charged $5000 for step two, and my attorney made promises enthusiastically, and then never follow through. As well as leaving child support off of my motion. He made no effort to actually meet me in person prior to our hearing, which was six months

Attorney Nikole Messerschmidt is best in class. She knows the law well and therefore will not promise things she cannot deliver. Be completely honest with her, trust her judgement, and she will not steer you wrong.
