We all want to feel valued and appreciated in our relationships.

This applies to relationships with our friends, our children and especially, with our spouse.

In order to feel valued and appreciated, you must feel that you have the respect of your spouse, that your spouse listens to your opinion, and your spouse is willing to work with you to resolve any disagreement.

But sometimes no matter how respectful you are and willing to work with your spouse, your spouse is not willing to do the same thing.  And your relationship and communication is getting worse.  So much so, that you just want to stop talking to your spouse altogether.

That’s when we have to ask ourselves a really important question: what can I do to stop by spouse from disrespecting me? Are there more signs that I'm in a harmful relationship? The answer is not always obvious.

Knowing how to deal with a disrespectful and rude spouse is necessary if you have to remain in contact long-term because of children and in the short-term to resolve your divorce.

If you’ve ever frustrated trying to figure out what to do about a disrespectful spouse, this episode is for you.

In this episode, you’ll get three tips to help you deal with a rude or disrespectful spouse.

What’s more, these same three tips are critical to deal with other challenging people in your life.   Write them down now and save your future self untold amounts of stress.

When it comes to deciding what to do about a rude text or phone call —what have you done in the past in response?  Did your response improve the situation?  Or did your response instigate more problems? Why?
