What Our Clients Say
The staff and the attorney were top notch. Answered all my questions and in a timely manner. Followed up with any of my questions.
Nikole Messerschmidt was the attorney who helped me with my divorce proceedings. Divorces can be emotional and sometimes it's difficult to compromise on issues you feel strongly about and think that you have a good "case" when you actually don't. That's when you need a lawyer that will honestly break the news to you that it's not in your best interest to take that course of action. That's what I liked about Nikole, not only did I feel listened too, she would let me know when pushing an issue was a loosing proposition. It's hard to hear but necessary so you don't drag things out. Divorce is not cheap and it is all about compromising.\\r\\n\\r\\nI did research before settling on Sterling Lawyers LLC but here is something I want share for the next person. Although 70% of cases are solved during that 120 day court required waiting period (stage 1) prepare for at a minimum to hit (Stage 2). We didn't have any kids and were originally in agreement so I really was expecting to be one of those people in that 70% quartile but I wasn't.\\r\\n\\r\\nHere's what you don't know about the legal system. There are legal timelines in which lawyers are required to provide a response and a lawyer can wait until the very last day to respond. Where 120 days seemed a reasonable amount of time to resolve an "amicable" divorce, you begin to watch days tick by as you wait on responses and court filings. Turns out, it's a really slow process.\\r\\n\\r\\nAlthough, in my research all the law firms say they keep things moving along, at the end of the day no one can force a response from the other side no matter how diligently they follow up and prod for a response when the opposing team has "X" legal days to respond. Keep in mind, a properly timed response is also a strategy used during divorce proceeds. It can create pressure and pressure creates opportunity.\\r\\n\\r\\nMy advice to those who think because you have no kids, no business and are amicable is to work with the effort to resolve within 120 days (stage 1) but financially prepare for a stage 2 resolution. It's just a really slow process whenever courts are involved and even in the most amicable divorces there is usually one or two sticking points that can also slow things down.
Nina Kelly has been great. Answered all my questions and was responsive. Made a difficult time easier. Highly recommend
Jack and is paralegal Claire were amazing to deal with. Jack made the whole process alot easier to go through.
I had Crawford Campbell as my attorney. He did an incredible job!! My experience with attorneys has always been they will get to you when they can . Not Crawford . He answered every email promptly. If he said he would call me at 11 it was exactly at 11!! And he never rushed me . Also made me feel that I was his most important client.. Made this so much easier than I expected. I told him he has a bright future and I will recommend him to my friends!! A 10 plus !! Thank you again Crawford Campbell!!

I would just like to thank the Sterling Lawyers firm, most importantly, Jodi Chung. She has gone above and beyond for me during this very difficult time for me. I had never been in a lawyers office before and I was very overwhelmed and my initial consultation. Jodi was very attentive and answered every single question I had and still have. She has always been looking out for me since day 1 and I cannot thank her enough. She has been with me every step of the way during the worst time of my life.

Jack and Claire have been so great with everything but especially communication. I am very pleased with all their hard work on my case. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

I felt sincerity with everyone I talked with on the phone. Thank you.
I am single father who resides in Wisconsin and my daughter was in another state. With Michelle and her assistant Ashley’s help I was able to secure full custody. They were always there if I needed them , even after hours. I would highly recommend Attorney Michelle Gordon.
Attorney Jeff Morrell was awesome! He went far and above what I expected. If I would have had him on my original case he would have saved me literally well over ten thousand dollars.
Attorney Jeff Morrell went way above and beyond! If I would have had him on my case originally he would have saved me over $10k

Jodi Chung did everything she could do for me against a mean ex husband and she did GREAT!!
I would give her a 10.
The attorney did seem to be quite knowledgeable and listened to the situation just the price she seemed to be trying to convince me to accept it by saying another attorney would cost more but when I contacted another, he charged me a third of what she was offering for the entire case
Excellent customer service and solid representation.
On a scale of 1-10 of if I would recommend him or not I'd rate it a 12. Atty Morrell went above and beyond for me. I only wish I could have had him on my original case. He would have literally saved me thousands
My attorney has been great and extremely helpful

I will rate Nina 8 out of 10. No comments to give. There is always room for improvement.
Communicative
Holly was very knowledgeable, diplomatic and professional in a challenging situation. That being said, I felt she could have managed our time better. Neither Brian nor I were aware that we were limited to 5 sessions until Holly mentioned it at the very end of our 4th session. It is of course mentioned in the contract we signed and we were responsible for knowing that. Because it is such an emotionally fraught experience we both missed it. Holly had no reason to believe we were unaware of this fact, I'm just suggesting that in the future it might be helpful if she mapped out what needs to be accomplished in each of the 5 sessions at the beginning. At the end of the 4th when she said we only had one session left we were both stunned. We wound up spending almost $7500 and are left with no settlement agreement. \\n\\nThis mediation was particularly difficult because it turns out Brian was in nearly dissociative denial and not really able to take in our discussion. There's nothing Holly could have done about that. The only thing that might have helped would be to have gotten to the financials earlier so at least we'd have had time to wade through the denial.
Efficient, kind, detail oriented. Staff from the from to the attorney were all very kind.
Andria was very easy to deal with and explained everything perfectly. I was very overwhelmed with all of this and did not know what to expect in court. The first lawyer I had explained nothing to me and I could barely get a response from her. Andria answered more questions and gave me a better understanding in 15 mins then I recieved from my lawyer I had for almost a month.
Bailey has helped navigate on ongoing extremely stressful situation in our lives with ease and professionalism and feel supported by her as well.
