The firm is very compassionate, professional, transparent, and thoughtful as they assist you in working through whatever challenges you may be dealing with. \\nThey listen well and proceed how you want to. This is a unique approach and isn’t about money but about a positive resolution to your opportunity!! You will be assigned an attorney and legal staff that explain and walk you through each step of the process including the financial billing which gives you peace of mind. My case proceeded as I desired and my attorney and the legal staff is there for you and very responsive. I would actually give the rating a 12 out of 10 because in the compassion, empathy and direction, it was also a very positive experience through a challenging situation. Make the right choice for yourself and for your situation, go with Sterling Lawyers.

I dont feel that Jack has invested enough effort in my case. I understand that I get what I pay for, but it seems like I’m getting less effort than my wife’s lawyer who bills hourly.

I barely hear from my attorney or the paralegal about my case. It’s a little frustrating waiting over a week for a response to an email I sent. I’ve asked for an income document three times for my hearing and still haven’t received it. I call and leave voicemails and no one calls back. I’d change offices but it’s too close to my hearing.

Lea was professional and compassionate as she helped me through the divorce process. She responded to my questions promptly and offered support during times I was uneasy with portions of the agreement. During the hearing, the judge went out of his way to compliment her skills in constructing the agreement.

Nikole Messerschmidt is hands down one of the best lawyers in Madison. She will go over and beyond for her clients. A lot of lawyers are just about facts and law with Nikole you will feel heard and she will fight for you. I never thought I would be going through a divorce Nikole made it less painful as possible. I felt prepared every step of the way.\\r\\n\\r\\nIf you're looking for a lawyer that truly cares about their clients, look no further! Nikole is worth every penny.

Jeff Morrell was excellent and fought for what he believed I deserved and not what was presented to us. Even though I was in a panic he helped to reassure me that everything would be okay and it turned out to better than okay. He did an amazing job! I recommend him if you’re looking for a lawyer. He will not disappoint.

Nikole Messerschmidt was the attorney who helped me with my divorce proceedings. Divorces can be emotional and sometimes it's difficult to compromise on issues you feel strongly about and think that you have a good "case" when you actually don't. That's when you need a lawyer that will honestly break the news to you that it's not in your best interest to take that course of action. That's what I liked about Nikole, not only did I feel listened too, she would let me know when pushing an issue was a loosing proposition. It's hard to hear but necessary so you don't drag things out. Divorce is not cheap and it is all about compromising.\\r\\n\\r\\nI did research before settling on Sterling Lawyers LLC but here is something I want share for the next person. Although 70% of cases are solved during that 120 day court required waiting period (stage 1) prepare for at a minimum to hit (Stage 2). We didn't have any kids and were originally in agreement so I really was expecting to be one of those people in that 70% quartile but I wasn't.\\r\\n\\r\\nHere's what you don't know about the legal system. There are legal timelines in which lawyers are required to provide a response and a lawyer can wait until the very last day to respond. Where 120 days seemed a reasonable amount of time to resolve an "amicable" divorce, you begin to watch days tick by as you wait on responses and court filings. Turns out, it's a really slow process.\\r\\n\\r\\nAlthough, in my research all the law firms say they keep things moving along, at the end of the day no one can force a response from the other side no matter how diligently they follow up and prod for a response when the opposing team has "X" legal days to respond. Keep in mind, a properly timed response is also a strategy used during divorce proceeds. It can create pressure and pressure creates opportunity.\\r\\n\\r\\nMy advice to those who think because you have no kids, no business and are amicable is to work with the effort to resolve within 120 days (stage 1) but financially prepare for a stage 2 resolution. It's just a really slow process whenever courts are involved and even in the most amicable divorces there is usually one or two sticking points that can also slow things down.

I would just like to thank the Sterling Lawyers firm, most importantly, Jodi Chung. She has gone above and beyond for me during this very difficult time for me.
