Once an application has been submitted to the county office in which you reside, there will be a mandatory six-day waiting period before the marriage license is issued. These six days will not include the weekends and federal holidays. In most cases, the day in which you apply will not be included in the waiting period.
There were over 32,000 marriages in 2015, with each prior year being relatively close to this number.
