About Tristan Eagon
(also known as Tristan F. Eagon, Tristan Francine Eagon)
Growing up, attorney Tristan Eagon's favorite hero was Batman. In him, she saw someone who could fight and take away people's fear without needing recognition. Like the caped crusader, she wanted to dedicate her life to protecting others but without the cape. This led her towards the path of studying criminal justice and ultimately becoming a police officer in South Carolina.
It was during this time that she was told by a judge that she had a talent for being in a courtroom and should consider law school. This was a whole new avenue to help people and put her skills to the test. So she went to law school and never looked back.
Tristan graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan then started her career as a lawyer, first as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Lansing, Michigan. She then worked in Madison for Richard B. Jacobson & Associates practicing general law before working in the Wisconsin State Public Defender's office. She also had the chance to work as a mediator and uses that experience to help her better listen and understand what is most important to her clients. As someone who has won jury trials and had practical experience in nearly every aspect of the law, she is prepared for anything thrown her way.
After a time, she figured out her skills were best suited to the unique challenges of family law. Tristan loves connecting with people, and as a family law attorney she likes helping her clients overcome some of their greatest hurdles.
She is determined to make sure her clients never feel alone throughout the process, no matter what they're dealing with. No one wants to end up in litigation or be in front of a judge. And most people going through a divorce never knew their life would end up at that point.
Tristan takes the brunt of the burden for her clients and breaks down the legal process into manageable pieces. In that way, she can help her clients stop being afraid, and start looking towards the future.
Family law gives also Tristan the opportunity to advocate for her clients in a compassionate, heartfelt way. No case is the same, and no two people are alike, and she is flexible to adapt her style to make sure her client's needs are being addressed. Family law keeps her on her toes and gives her the chance to learn every day.
To decompress outside of the office, Tristan likes to sketch and draw, tend to her garden, or travel the world. As a resident of Madison, she loves to tour the city's many restaurants, never eating at the same place twice. When she gets the chance she likes going to Badger's football games or a concert downtown. She is also working on getting her private pilot's license, a dream she's had since she was a child.

"I used SterlingLawyers.com for my child custody case. Having never been through this I had no idea what to expect or what the process was and was very nervous about the whole situation. My lawyer (Nikole) was very professional, straight to the point and took time to explain everything out to me which put me at ease. She took the time to talk to me every step of the way really listening to me and when it came to the hearing/agreement I got exactly what I wanted. Cant recommend SterlingLawyers.com enough."
