About Kathryn Eckhardt
(also known as Katy Eckhardt, Kathryn Janean Eckhardt, Kathryn Fehl, Katy Fehl Eckhardt, Kathryn J Eckhardt)
“I believe that every client has unique circumstances and that their family law matter should be tailored specifically to those circumstances. It is my goal to protect client's rights, provide open communication and clear guidance through the entire process.”
Attorney Kathryn Eckhardt enjoys the rules and finding the solution to a problem. When you're a girl with two older, rowdier brothers, it's important to know how to utilize both in arguments and family roundtables.
As it turns out, bringing the swift hand of justice down on a couple of beloved siblings developed into a passion for law.
Kathryn does not just see the law as a way to punish, but an essential tool to help others in times of need. When people need support, she's there to lend a helping hand through the complex legal system.
She remembers how it feels to get help when life throws you a curveball. When she was in middle school, her life was turned upside down when her dad was in a serious accident at work. She recalls how overwhelming it was for her family to navigate medical bills, insurance, and the legal landscape while taking care of her dad.
But what Kathryn remembers the most about that time is the helpers. When times got tough, people were always around to make sure she and her family were okay and to provide guidance.
Kathryn is ready to be that person for her clients. Her experiences transformed a passion for the rule of law into a mission to help others. To her, the law is a light in a dark time and a way to provide stability in a difficult time.
An Illinois native, Kathryn started her career in Chicago handling divorce, post-judgment, child custody, and child support cases. Due to meeting her future husband, a Wisconsin native, in law school, it was only a matter of time until she moved with him to Packer Country to be closer to family and start a new life.
The move didn't slow her down. In Milwaukee, she continued helping people going through family law matters by managing the Qualified Domestic Relations Order Department for Divorce Financial Solutions, LLC.
Now, having gained insight into the financial side of divorce, she is back helping families directly as an attorney at Sterling Hughes. Not content to stop there, Kathryn is also a certified Collaborative Lawyer and Mediator ready to assist people by bringing them together to the table.
When she's not on the case, Kathryn might be found hitting the links or running road races with her husband and son. Her tireless dedication, in both life and her work, makes her a formidable presence in the courtroom.
