Meet Attorney Latrice Knighton

Get to know Sterling Lawyers’ Attorney Latrice Knighton in her own words in this short video bio.

After graduating from law school with her JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2006, Latrice worked as an assistant DA in Milwaukee County. In addition to her work in the DA’s office, Latrice’s experience as a Guardian Ad Litem, a life coach, and a volunteer helping victims of domestic violence provides experience that Latrice brings to her role as a family law attorney.

“I use all of these different roles to get the best outcome for my clients,” Attorney Knighton says in this recent interview. “I think they are all necessary when I am doing family law.”

In addition to her work experience, Latrice has earned many awards and recognitions. She is a 2016 recipient of the Governor's Trailblazer in Business award. She was recognized in 2013 as Top 40 Under 40 by the Milwaukee Business Journal. And a 2012 Leading Lawyer by M Magazine.

Latrice has lived in the Milwaukee area her whole life. She is a product of Milwaukee, Waukesha, and Washington counties. She loves the variation one gets being able to take advantage of the downtown life and the waterfront while living in the nearby communities.

Latrice loves to spend time with the ones she cares about. This often leads her to the outdoors and even seeking out adventures like skydiving.

When asked what she wants people to remember after working with her, Latrice says, “I want people to remember that I really cared about them and the outcome of what happened to them.” She invests herself into listening to them and helping them, so that their family is in the best place moving forward.
