I was injured in a car accident six months ago and have been hospitalized several times for surgery as well as missed many work days for physical therapy. I am getting to the point where my health is beginning to come back. I want to pursue a personal injury claim to recover money to pay for my medical bills. I see many lawyers online, how do I pick the right personal injury lawyer?
Personal Injury Lawyer Response:
This is a great question and I wish more people would consider this question before hiring an attorney. First and foremost personal injury law has become complex and very specialized. When you hire a personal injury lawyer you want a personal injury firm that concentrates primarily if not solely on personal injury law.
Secondly if you are working with a good firm, not only will they specialize in personal injury, but they will also have a very competent staff of professionals. The best personal injury firms will have at their finger tips nurses, paralegals, engineers and trained investigators. Ask about this when you talk with you interview your lawyer.
Lastly, there is no substitute for experience. When you are picking your law firm you should be working with law firm who are active in trial and legal organizations. The more qualified and experienced your law firm the better opportunity you will have to be fully compensated.
