We all want more of the things that we value or cherish.

Typically, we want more time with our kids, family, or friends. We want to have more money to spend on the things we cherish. We want to have good health so we can live and enjoy life. And we all want to know what our purpose is here on this earth to feel fulfilled. In order to get what we want, we sometimes have to take gambles in both our personal and professional lives.

Many of us feel uncomfortable taking a gamble when it deals with something that we really care about. In fact, many of us would rather avoid any risk-taking by just patiently waiting for what we want to happen. Or, by giving all of the risk-taking authority to our spouse. When we become reliant on others to go after things that we want, we are not making the best bet.

When you are deciding whether to take a risk or not, we have to ask ourselves a really important question: do we go after what I want — or do give in and do what others want of us? The answer is not always obvious. When relationships collapse and problems occur, there might be a breaking point and divorce is seen as a way out.

But knowing when to bet on yourself and go after what we want is necessary if you plan to have a long and happy life.

If you’ve ever felt torn between whether you should risk go after what you want or expecting to get it from someone else, this episode is for you.

In this episode, you’ll get three tips to help you gain the courage to pursue your goals and your dreams.

What’s more, these same three questions are crucial to ask before you decide whether to try something new. Write them down now and save your future self untold amounts of time, money and heartache.

When it comes to going after what you want — have you ever felt scared and uncertain? What helped you try any ways?
